SUPPORT

WE'RE WITH YOU

When your child is struggling with their mental health, they can often feel completely alone. The ripple effect can leave us, as parents, feeling isolated, ashamed, judged.

We understand the unique challenges that come with parenting a child with a mental health issue. Access our Private & Confidential Facebook Community where more than 40,000 parents support each other day and night. You don’t have to do this alone.

JOIN THE BE PROGRAMME?

Parenting Mental Health recently concluded The Be Programme, an 8-week course designed to support parents of children facing mental health challenges. This programme aimed to enhance self-confidence, foster self-connection, and provide practical self-care tools to navigate the complexities of parenting under such circumstances.

Course Highlights include:

  • Self-Compassion: Understanding and nurturing compassion for oneself and others.
  • Parental Anxiety and Stress: Addressing issues like PTSD, fear, grief, anger, and helplessness.
  • Transitioning from Parent to Carer: Exploring the impacts of caregiving on well-being and strategies to prevent burnout.
  • Empowerment: Building confidence and autonomy, handling conflict, and overcoming feelings of being silenced or shamed.
  • Trauma Awareness: Delving into PTSD, secondary trauma, vicarious trauma, and healing amidst relentless demands.
  • Relationships and Boundaries: Identifying personal needs, setting compassionate boundaries, and understanding love languages.
  • Self-Care Planning: Developing a practical and achievable self-care plan encompassing emotional, intellectual, spiritual, psychological, and physical well-being.
