OUR 2024 PICNIC RAISED £10k

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE BIG PICNIC

Supporters, families, and workplaces came together on Thursday, August 29, for the first-ever Big Picnic, raising funds and awareness for parents supporting children with mental health challenges. Families, friends, neighbours, and colleagues from around the world joined in the event, making it a truly global celebration.

Participants enjoyed a range of activities, with access to an exclusive recipe from Bake Off’s Dan Hunter and contributions from our community members, alongside fundraising packs and ticketed events. It was a day of connection, delicious food, and meaningful impact, all in support of parents navigating extraordinary challenges.

Stay tuned for updates on future events, and thank you to everyone who made the Big Picnic such a success!

THE HOSTING

When supporters signed up to host a picnic, they received a free fundraising kit (with the option to donate towards it).

The kit included practical tips and suggestions for hosting the perfect picnic—from who to invite to thanking everyone for their support. It also featured inspiring stories from individuals who helped make a significant impact and an exclusive cupcake recipe to create a memorable picnic feast.

Every pound raised contributed to creating a supportive and empathetic space for parents navigating the daily challenges of raising a family affected by poor mental health.

YOU CAN STILL JOIN IN

JOIN THE PMH BIG WELLBEING PICNIC

The Big Wellbeing Picnic has now taken place, but you can still access tickets for just £2.50.

We understood that one of the many challenges of parenting a child with poor mental health is the feeling of isolation, with no time for yourself and certainly not the headspace to host a picnic. That’s why we created this special online event to ensure no one missed out.

The Big Wellbeing Picnic featured sessions on Clay Therapy, Therapeutic Journaling, Doodling, Creative Writing, and more..

Tickets grant you access to all the sessions, allowing you to watch back at your leisure and enjoy the ones that resonate most with you. See below for more details or click the button to get your tickets!
